Tomas' Birthday

On the tenth of  November Tomas had his tenth birthday-party.We had to meet him at Kowhai Park at three  
'o-clock.

When all of us got there we had a muffin each and started playing. When we were playing I tried to get up onto the parachute. Then Tomas came and joined in.

After that, we had tea in the giant pumpkin. For tea we had barbequed patties and sausages.

After we had tea we played cricket. A few minutes later Tomas got mad at his Dad because he wasn't playing properly.

 Then I gave him his present from me. It was a Sunny's Gift-card.

Westmere Walkway

On Thursday the 26th of July Room 5, 6 and some people from Room 4 walked the Westmere Walkway to prepare for camp. It started off with a big hill. At the top of the hill we had Morning Tea. After we started to walk the rest of the track. It was very mushy and yuck. After we had a lunch break. After that we kept on walking threw the squashy,muddy track. Then we were in paddocks of nice green grass. We weren't alone though there were lots of cows. Every were we went they followed even when we were eating they were still there. So we had to jump a fence to eat. After we ate we had a play over the creek and on the hill. Some of us rolled down the hill and some got stuck in the creek! Then we were almost at the end when we met the cows again so we had to go around them. Finally we were were we started yay! After we got on the bus and went back to school. When we got to school we had a rest and had a go on our computers. I hope we do it again sometime. We were lucky  it was a nice day.

Westmere Walkway

One bright, sunny day Room 5,6 and four people from Room 4 walked the Westmere Walkway to prepare for the camp. It all started off with a big hill. When we got to the top we looked down and saw the awesome view of the city. Then we looked down at the rest of the track and thought 'yuck' because it was so muddy and wet but we had  to walk it. Not long after we had a lunch break and there were cows so we had to jump a fence and eat.  After the break we got to another hill so we had another little rest. It was so muddy some people got their feet stuck. They got their feet unstuck  so we carried on walking the track. Not long after we finally got to where we started.Yay

Races

                                 Races

On Thursday Room 6 walked to the races. We went after Morning Tea. The manager Bret took us to some ponies and we had a ride each. Bret split us into two groups. One group learnt about the food that the ponies and horses eat,while the other group was riding little ponies. We waited and watched some more races, then it was our turn. After that we got a book and pony toy. Then we walked back to school. We thought the day was awesome.

Cycle Safety

On Tuesday Constable Val came over for cycle safety. We had to go around an obstacle course, but only a few of us brought our bikes to school. We had to walk over the course before we did it on our bikes. Then we went over it with our bikes, but one at a time. We all got to do it two times. On the course there were u-turns, but only some of us got through them. When we were doing the course we used our hands to do hand signals when we were going around corners and stopping. I liked the see-saw best.
